In this episode of the privacyespresso series, Oksana Zadniprovska, expert in #dataprotection, e-commerce and intellectual property law from the PrivacyRules Ukrainian member firm Axon Partners, sheds light on how businesses outside the EU, US or UK should approach the latest data protection frameworks (#DPFs) emerging in these countries.

Over the course of the session, we explored the significance of the EU-US and UK-US data protection frameworks and how businesses outside of the EU and UK should pay attention to these new regulations.

Oksana emphasised the importance of these frameworks for non-EU countries such as Ukraine, particularly when dealing with global operations and #datatransfers. She highlighted how compliance with these frameworks can enhance the security of data transfers and build trust with partners.

She also delved into practical considerations for businesses, emphasising the need for thorough audits, transparent communication with #datasubjects, and engaging #privacy experts from the outset to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and efficient data management practices.
