According to a document detailing the Commission’s response to suggestions from the European Ombudsman, the EC will require each national data protection authority to share an overview of its data-protection investigations six times a year. As a result, the level of accountability for regulators will grow, requiring them to provide more details on how they conduct investigations into companies.
