The Australian Attorney General Department had disseminated a discussion paper on the Privacy Act Review. The discussion paper elicited responses from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), suggesting reforms chalked out through the body’s regulatory experience. The recommendations from OAIC focus on enhancing accountability measures and simultaneously empowering customers and other data subjects.
