US Representatives Frank Pallone, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and Senator Roger Wicker are moving forward a bill entitled the American Data Privacy and Protection Act (ADPPA) to implement a federal set of regulations to protect Americans’ online information. The bill lists definitions needed to give online users power over how their data is accessed and shared by online platforms and third party data brokers.
