The US media channel CNBC reports that the US Chamber of Commerce would be against the US Congress moving forward with the proposed American Data Privacy and Protection Act (ADPPA). The American Data Privacy and Protection Act “as drafted is unworkable and should be rejected,” the U.S. Chamber of Commerce wrote in a draft letter to congressional leaders on the issue, in a copy obtained by CNBC on Thursday. The Chamber later updated the letter to say the act is “unworkable at this time,” but removed the suggestion that it should be rejected. Find the full news on CNBC here.
