Paulina Silva is a Partner at Bitlaw, with over 16 years of experience advising companies in the intersection of law and emerging technologies. She specializes in technology procurement, software development (with a focus on agile methodologies), digital transformation, privacy management, cybersecurity, and e-commerce. Her strategic counsel has positioned her as a trusted advisor to national and international clients navigating complex digital environments.
Paulina holds a law degree from the University of Chile (2005) and an LL.M. in Commercial Law with a specialization in Computer Law from the University of Melbourne (2008). She also holds a Diploma in Extracontractual Liability from the University of Chile. From 2008 to 2020, she led the Data Protection and Technology Group at Carey, one of Chile’s most prestigious law firms.
She is an Officer of the Technology Committee of the International Bar Association, a Director of the Chilean Cybersecurity Alliance, and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Paulina is also a prolific contributor to international legal scholarship, co-authoring key chapters in publications such as Privacy Guide for Latin America (IAPP, 2021), Data Protection Q&A – Thomson Reuters (2018), and The Regulatory Framework for Data Protection in Chile and Future Challenges (Taylor Wessing, 2015).
